Brett approached us to give him the opportunity to price our home and his pricing came in very close to the other 'group builder' companies we were looking at.

What stood out from the beginning, particularly with Brett, was his attention to detail and how he listened to what we were asking. By dealing directly with Brett from start to finish, no conversations were lost, or confused between people. From sitting with the Architects to manage expectations and constructability issues, saving us all pain later on. He got to know us well and managed our expectations.

This was the first home we have built, so having someone like Brett with the building knowledge from his years on the tools, the knowledge he and Natalia had from just completing the build of their own home, and the 'this can be done' attitude, it made for a very streamlined and stress free process for us.

We really leaned on Brett for his ideas and his opinions which also built a lot of trust between us all. None of our ideas or dreams were out of the question, however Brett bought us gently to reality if they were too out of the box/ budget. Brett really fought some battles for us to achieve some of the out of the ordinary things that we wanted that had not done before.

The contractors that Hatton Construction engage and use on a regular basis were also very good at what they do. As with any build, there were a few minor defects; Brett has been great at coming to the party to rectify these issues.

We also dealt with Natalia on other aspects of the build and she was incredibly helpful. On one instance taking a photo of her gas burners with pots on all of them so I could see how it all worked. Natalia is incredibly organised and was great at keeping on top of everything particularly on the admin side of the build.

Brett and Natalia make a great team and we have no hesitation recommending Hatton Construction if you are looking to build your dream home.

Brett was easy to talk to, his communication throughout the process was always clear, and he kept us well informed at every step. We felt confident in his experience, and he took great care to make sure everything was done right and to a high standard. We were open to hearing his ideas on various aspects of the house, and we made several changes based on his suggestions. For example, the kitchen splashback, roof colour, higher stud height, and taking out a cupboard in the hallway to allow for a more spacious entrance. He also respected our requirements and worked with us to achieve them. If we had any questions, concerns, or needed to discuss something with him, he was always available or got back in touch quickly, which was hugely appreciated.

Our Project Manager was Matt; we often saw him on-site when we came to have a look at how the building was going. He was professional, lovely to chat with, and we could see he had good attention to detail. When we left, we felt we were well looked after.

Hatton Construction has a team of contractors that is focused on achieving a high-quality result. Special mention to Devon and his team from Arkham Electrical, their knowledge and recommendations have helped make our home easy to live in.

We were impressed by how accurate the timeline was with minimal delays, and at times, they were ahead of schedule. When it came time to move in, they were on schedule, and naturally, it was very exciting. Brett and Natalia welcomed us in, we did a thorough walk-through, and they spent the time showing us everything we needed to know and making sure we were happy with everything. They’ve been very helpful with post-construction support and check-in from time to time, which shows how much they care.
